Fairy Tale Canyon

Skazka Canyon is a unique gorge located on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, famous for its red clay cliffs. It is located about 120 km from the town of Balykchi, near the village of Tosor.

Fairy Tale Canyon attracts many tourists due to its stunning scenery. Erosion, which has been in effect for thousands of years, has created diverse and bizarre stone and clay figures in the gorge. It is composed of multi-colored clays, minerals and rocks, which gives it a special picturesque appearance.

Some natural formations in the canyon have their own unique names. For example, the "Chinese Wall", which closely resembles the famous architectural monument of China. Fairy Tale Canyon impresses with its beauty at any time of the year: in winter there is practically no snow, which allows you to enjoy its majestic views throughout the year.

The canyon is very close to the road and the shore of the lake, which makes it a great place to relax or picnic.
